In Search of Warmer Weather

We have had a big snow year here in Teton Valley Idaho.....but continued spring snow means....I am ready for some sunshine!!!

Uncle Scotty and mommy took baby Kora on her first fishing adventure on the Henry's Fork River on one of our first 50 degree days.  She was a total rock star (I think she will like this fishing thing) and we all enjoyed a little sunshine and fresh air.

Next we were off to Colorado in search of more sunshine and an out of valley experience!
Kora was great during the 10 hour car ride each way and hardly made a peep.  I think we might be setting her up to be a world traveler!

We stopped in Winter Park for Kora to meet her friend Fletcher Cahalane who was born four and 1/2 months earlier.  We got to enjoy GOOD pizza at Hernando's!  It was so nice to see Craig and Kristen and spend the night, reminiscing about old times and planning new adventures with the little ones!

Kora even got to do some bartending with Matt Cowman!  Woah!

Once we got to GramMelissa's house, Kora got to meet GramMelissa's very good friend Dorthy, who just loved Kora to pieces.

Kora also got to meet Granddad Dunc and his dog Lobo.  Lobo was very sweet and very curious about Kora!  She couldn't figure out how Kora was moving and making noises too!!! Kora just loves her Granddad Dunc and I think he loves her right back.

We got to spend a lot of time with Aunt Gina and Uncle Dan, Jack and Ava!

Mommy's cousin Harvest and her daughter Lexy and son Jamison came to meet Kora.  We are still trying to figure out how to get Lexy to move to Idaho with us!

We even got a few bike rides in on the sunny days.  Kora had her first bike ride in the Chariot! Awesome!!

Next Kora got to meet Uncle Dave and Auntie Pam!  We are lucky that we got to bring Kora home with us.  Uncle Dave really fell in love!

We also got to spend some time with the Milholm family (Auntie Erika's family).  Thanks for the love.

GramMelissa loves those grand babies!  They are the luckiest grand babies in the world!

Poppy loves his grand babies too!  Can you feel the love?

We love cousin love as well.  Noah and Edyn are the best big cousins ever.  Noah, are you the boss?

Baby Kora also got a new work out gym in Colorado.  She loves to talk and swat at the bumble bees.  "Hi bumble bees!"

Stay tuned for our next out of valley experience!!!!  Kora's first airplane ride!!!!

Amazing Times!!!

In February we were graced with the presence of our daughter, Kora Steele.  What an adventure!

After an amazing pregnancy with so much love and support, Kora entered the world after 20 hours of labor by Cesarean birth!

She was alert, healthy and hungry right from the start!  One of the nurses in the hospital said that for being so little she was like a barracuda!  So she has quickly taken on the name of Koracuda!

GramMelissa was at the hospital for the birth and did a great job of keeping all the other grandparents and family posted of the progress.

Uncle Scotty got to be there too! And he was a huge support and stayed at our house with our other six kids and the Grandmas!  What a guy!

Grandma Sherry flew in the next day to meet her granddaughter!  What a sight!

Grandpa and Gran Bonny drove from Texas to meet the little one!!!  She is already so loved!!!

We had many good friends visit as well!!  What awesome support we had!!!

Once we got home  Grandpa Carl came to visit and give lots of love to his newest granddaughter!

Kora already has a big job of taking care of her dogs and cats, or maybe it's the other way around.  They really seem like they want to take care of her!!

Kora is so fun, that even our friends who think they are not good at holding babies give it a whirl.  We love you Tim!

We owe so much of this joy to our most amazing Midwife, Theresa Lerch!  She guided and supported us through this most amazing experience!

Then Poppy came to visit!  What an awesome first 5 weeks of life!  So much fun!

Our good friends Dan, Melisa and Nathan came by to meet the princess.  They have loaned us so many useful baby items!  We are so lucky!

Bob and Irelyn stopped by for some baby love!

So many amazing people from far away sent thoughts, cards, gifts and love.  THANK YOU ALL!!  We are truly overwhelmed with love and support!

Sara and Betsy made us a yummy dinner and came to meet Kora.  Sara is gearing up to be a great babysitter!!

Somehow, once in a while we have time for a baby photo shoot!!

We get to hang out with the most fun Uncle Scotty, but sometimes we have a little too much fun!

Then Kora's Uncle Nathan, Aunt Erika and cousins Noah and Edyn came for a visit.  What big helpers and so in love with their baby cousin.

They even got some skiing time in with Uncle D!  Edyn's first time on skis and she loved it, what a big girl.

Noah can now ski all by himself and he and Uncle D worked out a deal to leave the hula hoop in the car!

Sometimes all of this fun makes Kora want to take a nap..................

We absolutely cannot believe what a happy baby Kora is!  We are so thankful for amazing family and friends.  We will use this blog to try to keep many people updated, so if you like, check back soon!

We love you all!
